Shepherd - Jesus and sheep the church. The sheep which belongs to the sheperd hears the voice. And follows the sheperd  the sheperd know his sheeps - Jesus knows who are his -duties of the sheep - hears the voice ie to listen to what the word of god speak to our hearts -the voice of the sheperd is I.

1) Leading
How does he lead.
Ps 23:1,2 is beautiful representation of the relationship between the sheep and the shepherd. one who leads besides still waters, makes me lay down in green pastures,  
2) Divine Protection in difficult times.
Ps 23:3,4 - Even in times when going through situations like 'valley of death' for you are with me


3) Sheep hear His voice
Tune your ears
The word -listens to it -meditates on it  identifies the voice - able to recognise the voice of the true sheperd. Identifiying he the words relate the fact the sheep is able to make a distinction between the voice of different sources. There could be many false tea hinge and words which might tempt you to believe that what you listen to is right. To be ae to identify mean your ears are tuned to be able to catch the signal and more importantly  catch the correct signal
To be  able to listen to the words of the shepherd  one needs to  led by the spirit Rom 8 and worshiping (Jn. 4:24)
flesh instead of the Spirit (Gal. 5:16-18).

4) Shepherd knows each by name -Knows each one us clearly.  equal attention to all the sheep.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.


Great Sacrifice
One can expect the sheep to be sacrificed for the sheep, but here is a shepherd who sacrifices himself for the sheeps- amen

Abundant Life
When do you receive this life?- John 5:24 Now you have crossed over from death to life
How to receive this eternal life ?- losing our natural life (Mt. 16:24-25; Mk. 8:34- 37; Lk. 9:23-25)
Reflection of a life lived at a higher level in obedience to God's will and reflecting His glory.
To be a follower of Jesus, to know who he is and what he means, is to have a superabundance of life.

John 20:31 describes the purpose of this Gospel. Speaking of the miracles and signs, John says, "But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name."
