Discussion:
Purpose of jesus coming to this world.

Jesus did not come to this world to condemn the sinners but to save the sinners. One of the main reasons for the lack of growth in the christian life could be attributed to  guilt. In this case instead of pointing at the fact that this lady is caught in adultery, Jesus makes a statement which came as  a shock to the accusers. Accusation is a very easy thing do, but a mature handling of the situation could be  blessing to many. Jesus here is exhibiting the love that God has for his creation. We see that many people lose their way indulging drugs, immoral activities, drunkeness, and  so on. In most of the cases for people choosing  such sources is because of parents failing in the duty of helping the children  and guiding them in love.

Objective of Jesus becoming  a man was not to condemn the world but to save the world from condemnation
John 3: 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
John 3:18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son This is  perfect example of Gods  mercy and graceForgiveness - (Jn. 3:17)Punishment of  adultery (Lev. 20:10)
"all the prophets and the law prophesied until John" (Mt. 11:13).Jesus was operating under the dispensation of grace (Jn. 1:17; Eph. 3:2)--not the law

Following the Light of the world.

Other similar statements of Jesus
a. "I am the bread of life" - Jn 6:48
b. "I am the light of the world" - Jn 8:12
c. "I am the door" - Jn 10:9
d. "I am the good shepherd" - Jn 10:11
e. "I am the resurrection and the life" - Jn 11:25
f. "I am the way, the truth, and the life" - Jn 14:6
g. "I am the vine" - Jn 15:5

Christian life is all about following Jesus. And to those who follow would never in darkness but in the light. For any person in darkness- there is a effort involved in coming to light.People would not come to jesus in the fear of their deeds be exposed.John 3:18 - 21 Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."How do you know you are in light? When the light of jesus starts showing up through your behavior.
